Great pub in this old Alcester former market town. 2 cask ales with more to come. Regular entertainment and Sunday lunch a must. Landlady Ruth is trying hard to bring a once struggling tavern back to the forefront of this great towns pubs.
Great atmosphere but need to sell more ales
What a lovely find this pub was. We called in on the off chance of a Sunday roast and weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, the pub was lovely and. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. We sat by an open fire, which our dog really appreciated and enjoyed roast beef with all the trimmings and fruit crumble. Delicious!! They only lost a star because there was no lock on the ladies toilet door. Not to be missed otherwise.
Very nice Sunday lunch cooked perfectly and staff very friendly can't do enough for you.
Brilliant atmosphere. Very welcoming and the bonus of excellent live music too.
