Great place, amazing events. Not happy that they have closed for daytime visits using the maze and the playground though, wait for the events and they are great including fireworks, just long queues on surrounding roads near 5 Nov and 31 Dec.
Christmas fair which had many stalls. Playground sadly not open anymore which was a great treat for kids when it was open. Seems it needs doing up and be great if onbthe plans for the future
Enjoyed two annual food festival events here, and visited the mansion whilst there. The house was interesting in itself, and inexpensive to enter - but once you've seen it I'm not sure you'd repeat visit often. But the food festival events held here have always been well organised and very enjoyable days out, especially if the weather's good. Would recommend
I visited the house and garden during my stay at Camper Calling festival that is held in the grounds. A nice country house with lots of historic features but that lived in feel you only get when houses still have the family on site. Good facilities and nicely laid formal garden area with views over the estate. A very good festival setting too.
